Liver cirrhosis is a late stage liver condition in which the healthy tissues of the liver are replaced with the scar tissues that keep the liver from functioning properly, and thus, the liver is completely damaged. The scar tissue blocks the blood flow through the liver, and leads to reduction in activity to process nutrients, hormones, drugs and poisons. This condition also affects the liver’s ability to produce proteins. This can be caused due to several conditions in liver like its injury, inflammation, obesity, injection of drugs, having a liver history, diabetes, having an unprotected sex, etc.
‘Jalodara’ is the term for liver cirrhosis in ayurveda. According to ayurveda, liver cirrhosis is caused due to extreme aggravation of Pitta dosha that affects the liver functioning. This vitiation of Pitta dosha, other doshas are also vitiated, which intoxicates Rasa and Rakta dhatus, and weakens them. This vitiation of Pitta dosha is triggered by improper digestion of food which affects complexion of skin, production of blood, nourishment of tissues, etc. The main constituent of Pitta dosha is fire, and when this is vitiated, it degrades or burns out the tissues of liver and causes liver cirrhosis.
In ayurveda, the treatment of liver cirrhosis in ayurveda focuses on balancing the vitiated doshas that are initiated by detoxification processes like snehapana, swedana, virechana, etc. It is also accompanied with intake of certain herbs that help in healing the symptoms of liver cirrhosis and protects from further damage of liver cells. This line of treatment adds on to the healing, rejuvenation of cells and stops degradation of the same in future.
What makes Elite Ayurveda's Gall Stones therapy unique? Gallstones are formed by the three doshas of vata, pitta, and Kapha, according to Ayurveda. Excessive pitta (produced by hot, spicy food, alcohol, and so on) forms the foundation for stone formation. Increased Kapha from fatty, heavy meals combined with pitta, resulting in a sticky combination. Vata dries the mixture and shapes it into a stone form. Gall Stones therapy in Ayurveda treats the underlying cause with personalized medications, as well as dietary and lifestyle advice.
“The ayurvedic approach of disease looks for the root cause and not merely the symptoms. The basic principles of Ayurveda consider an individual human a specific identity and hence his treatment giving importance to the treatment of the patient rather than the treatment of the disease.”
“Since Ayurveda focuses on the root-cause of the disease, it effectively reduces the risk of severe health complications arising out of the untreated underlying cause. Patients who complete their Ayurveda treatment have a reduced risk of health complications later.”
