How Does Our Myasthenia Gravis Treatment Benefit You?

Myasthenia Gravis is characterized by the weakness of muscles under individuals' voluntary control. This comes with rapid fatigue and is caused due to breakdown in the normal communication between nerves & muscles. This is due to the fact that antibodies produced by the body attack receptor sites for a neurotransmitter. This causes a decrease in receptor sites, leading to decreased communication with muscles, which in turn results in weakness. It is associated with symptoms like weakness of arms or leg muscles, drooping eyelids, double vision, and difficulty in speech, chewing, swallowing, and breathing.
According to Ayurveda, Myasthenia Gravis is caused due to vitiation of Vata and Kapha dosha at the site of muscles. It is also caused due to impairment of the metabolic fire- Agni, which leads to the accumulation of ama in the body. Thus suppression of Agni leads to the aggravation of doshas.
Ayurvedic treatment for Myasthenia Gravis includes- Panchakarma treatments such as Abhyanga, Nasya, Kizhi Swedana, Shalishashtika Swedana, and Vasti are recommended for Myasthenia Gravis. By eliminating toxins from the body, these treatments assist & enhance nerve-muscle coordination. It is a safe and efficient natural therapy for myasthenia gravis. Virechan is also employed to provide long-lasting effects. The treatment also involves the intake of herbs like Brahmi, Ashwagandha, Mulethi, etc. to restore the connection. This line of treatment helps in the reversal of Myasthenia Gravis in a natural way.

Unlike other treatment procedures that jump straight to symptom management, we address the root-cause of the disease.
