Completely Treat Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)

Why EliteAyurveda

How are we able to Treat Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) Completely?

Systemic lupus erythematosus is an autoimmune disorder that causes swelling and pain throughout the body. In an autoimmune disease, the body fights with itself rather than the foreign particle coming inside the body. If a person is having lupus, they might experience joint pain, rashes, sensitivity, fatigue, headaches, seizures, anemia, depression and issues with brain, lungs, liver, kidney and heart. Sometimes the symptoms of lupus are mild and are unnoticeable by people, but other times they might experience severe symptoms that may affect their life. The causes of lupus are hormonal changes, environmental factors and genetics.

“ ‘Vatarakta’ is the term for SLE in ayurvedic text which is a disease that occurs internally and externally; the blood vessels are inflamed and a disease that looks like skin problem but affects joints and every system in the body. This condition is caused due to vitiation of Vata dosha. When Vata is vitiated, the blood through which it flows also gets vitiated; and as blood reaches every part of the body, there are high chances of internal effects in the body. Charaka has noted general symptoms of SLE as- discoloration of skin, malaise, boils on skin, muscle twitching, heaviness in body, itching, laziness, pain in joints, etc.

Thus, while treating this disease in ayurveda, the initial step is to balance the vitiated doshas and purify blood. This is done by various treatments like Virechana, Basti, Seka and Pradeha. These treatments help to increase the immunity of the body, get rid of all the symptoms associated with this condition and also avoid any further complications. This line of treatment helps in reversing the condition in a natural way.

Root Cause Treatment

“The ayurvedic approach of disease looks for the root cause and not merely the symptoms. The basic principles of Ayurveda consider an individual human a specific identity and hence his treatment giving importance to the treatment of the patient rather than the treatment of the disease.”

Wisdom of Ayurveda

“Since Ayurveda focuses on the root-cause of the disease, it effectively reduces the risk of severe health complications arising out of the untreated underlying cause. Patients who complete their Ayurveda treatment have a reduced risk of health complications later.”

More Than Just Medicines

"Heal your body naturally with 5000-year-old knowledge of Ayurveda and Modern Science. From its authenticity, structured approach and personalisation play a very important role in complementing the effect of medicines as well as sustaining the benefit of treatment after the medicines have ended."

Understand how we can help you with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) ..

Types of SLE

  1. Cutaneous lupus erythematosus: Lupus that affects the skin is referred to as cutaneous lupus. Skin problems such as sun sensitivity and rashes are common in people with cutaneous lupus erythematosus. Hair loss is another sign of this illness.
  2. Drug-induced lupus: Certain drugs are to blame for certain instances of lupus. Many of the symptoms of drug-induced lupus are similar to those of systemic lupus erythematosus, however they are generally very transient. When you stop taking the medicine that's causing your lupus, it usually goes away.
  3. Neonatal lupus: Neonatal lupus is an uncommon kind of lupus that affects newborn babies. Children born with neonatal lupus have antibodies handed down from their mother, who may or may not have had lupus at the time of conception or later in life. Not every child born to a lupus mother will develop the condition.

Effects of lupus on body

  1. Skin: Lupus is associated with skin issues. A red rash covers the cheeks and bridge of the nose in some persons with lupus. Large red, circular rashes (plaques) that may scar are possible side effects (called discoid lupus). Sunlight generally aggravates skin rashes. Also prevalent are hair loss and mouth sores.
  2. Blood: Blood involvement might occur in the absence of other symptoms. The amount of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets in people with lupus can be dangerously low (cells that help clot the blood). Blood count fluctuations can often cause tiredness (low red blood cell count, anemia), dangerous infections (low white blood cell count), or easy bruising (low platelet count).
  3. Joints: Arthritis is highly frequent among lupus patients. There may be discomfort as well as edema. Morning stiffness and soreness can be particularly bothersome. Arthritis can be a temporary ailment that lasts a few days to weeks or it can be a chronic condition. Thankfully, arthritis is seldom disabling.
  4. Kidney: Kidney involvement in those with lupus may be fatal, and it affects up to half of those who have the disease. When lupus patients have pain, a rash, fever, and weight loss, kidney issues may become apparent. Kidney disorders can occur when there are no other signs or symptoms of lupus.
  5. Brain: Fortunately, brain involvement in lupus patients is uncommon. It can induce disorientation, depression, seizures, and strokes if it's present.
  6. Heart and lungs: Inflammation of the heart and lung coverings (pericardium) is a common cause of heart and lung involvement (pleura). You may experience chest discomfort, an irregular pulse, and a buildup of fluid around the lungs (pleuritis or pleurisy) and heart if these tissues become inflamed (pericarditis).
