Teratoasthenozoospermia is a combination of two conditions- teratozoospermia and Asthenozoospermia. Teratozoospermia is a condition in which the sperm present in semen have an abnormal morphology and affects fertility of men. Asthenozoospermia is a condition in which the sperm has reduced motility, and thus, affects fertility. Now, when sperm has abnormal morphology and reduced motility, the condition is known as Teratoasthenozoospermia. The causes for this condition are genetics, lifestyle habits like smoking, exposure to toxins, varicocele, metabolic deficiencies, ultrastructural abnormalities of sperm flagellum and necrozoospermia.
According to Ayurveda, the cause of Teratoasthenozoospermia is Shukra dushti, which causes infertility in males. This is manifested due to Vyadhis (pathologies); functions of dosha, dhatu, Agni, and Mala (metabolic conditions); Manas (psychosomatic conditions); lifestyles and Poorvajanma kruta karma (deeds of previous life). All the mentioned factors promote the depletion of Shukra dhatu, leading to the condition.
Thus, while treating the condition in Ayurvedic methodology, it is important to consider all the factors and cure it from root cause. There is a special branch in ayurveda which deals with the conditions of shukra dhatu – Vajikarana chikitsa. The main line of treatment in practice is – koshta shodhana by shodhanokta virechana karma ot nitya virechana karma. It is followed by Vamana therapy. The entire treatment is associated with intake of certain herbs like- ashwagandha, shatavari, kapikacchu, musali, sharkara, mamsa rasa, ghrita, etc. are known as shukra vardhana and help in restoring normal functions of shukra dhatu. These herbs also boost production of healthy sperm both morphologically and physiologically.
Unlike other treatment procedures that jump straight to symptom management, we address the root-cause of the disease. Our treatment for Men's Conditions has proved to achieve a near cure and symptom-free state. We focus on diet, use of potent herbs, meditation, therapies with herbal oils and yoga. These classical practices have proven to be very helpful in our Men's Conditions Treatment.

“The ayurvedic approach of disease looks for the root cause and not merely the symptoms. The basic principles of Ayurveda consider an individual human a specific identity and hence his treatment giving importance to the treatment of the patient rather than the treatment of the disease.”
“Since Ayurveda focuses on the root-cause of the disease, it effectively reduces the risk of severe health complications arising out of the untreated underlying cause. Patients who complete their Ayurveda treatment have a reduced risk of health complications later.”
