Effectively Heal Desiccated Disc Condition

Why EliteAyurveda

How are we able to Treat Desiccated Disc

Spinal discs contain fluid in their centre. And this water remains within the disc's centre. This component is the nucleus pulposus. When this water evaporates. This condition is known medically as desiccated disc and occurs when the disc begins to contract.
Why use Ayurveda to treat a dehydrated disc
For a surgeon, a dehydrated disc is irrelevant. Because he is unable to perform surgery on that disc. Surgeons continue to wait for the next stage of a desiccated disc, such as a bulged or herniated disc. However, Ayurveda promotes the prevention of any disease. Due to the fact that this is the initial stage of spinal problems, it is very simple to address the condition. Why further complicate matters when we can address a condition in its earliest stages?
At EliteAyurveda, our team of specialists provides effective Ayurvedic treatment through the full spectrum of Ayurvedic medicines and therapies. Incorporating Ayurvedic therapy and yoga also contributes to the holistic rehabilitation of patients suffering from dessicated disc.

EliteAyurveda's treatment provides a distinct advantage to its patients. These treatments help patients avoid surgery, are natural and holistic, and are safe and effective for the patient. In addition, a patient can avoid a recurrence of the condition through these treatments.

The treatment may include detoxification by various panchakarma procedures, abhyanga massage, herbal pottali massage, purgation and mild herbal enema along with classic ayurveda herbal medications. Understand how we can help you with Desiccated Disc

Definition of Desiccated Disc

Discs function as shock absorbers for the vertebrae. In order to prevent collisions between the vertebrae, nature has inserted elastic structures between the vertebrae. In addition to serving as impact absorbers, these discs provide passage for the nerves. Discs are porousin nature.

You deflate the disc by pressing it. As soon as the pressure is removed, the disc returns to its natural structure. The centre of the disc is responsible for the disc's flexibility and elasticity. The part referred to as the Nucleus pulposus. Nucleus pulposus is gelatinous. This nucleus is surrounded by numerous fibres, which strengthen the disc.

The blood supply to the nucleus pulposus comes from the endplates. The endplates are cartilages that encase the vertebrae of the spine. The blood vessels transport nutrients to the endplates. The nucleus pulposus absorbs this nutrition, which consists primarily of water.

When the interior of the disc continues to receive adequate nutrition, the disc remains flexible. Because jelly requires water as a substance to preserve its flexibility. When, for whatever reason, the disc does not receive this nourishment correctly. Disc begins to dry out. Consequently, the disc becomes flaccid. When a disc becomes saggy, it begins to expand. As soon as this fluid dislodges, a variety of spinal disc issues manifest.

Because dehydration of the disc is merely the initial phase of spinal disc maladies. This makes treatment of this condition crucial. When a disease becomes chronic, additional complications appear.

Causes of Disc Dessication

There are numerous causes of disc desiccation. Here are the principal factors of the issue:

Process of Ageing: As the human body matures, it becomes more rigid. The same holds true for the discs. Age is not simply a number in this context. Age indicates the rate of physical deterioration. How quickly this deterioration occurs, given our age. Simply, this negligence accelerates the ageing process.

There are underlying diseases that contribute to the ageing issue. Typically, these are the conditions that affect the blood supply.

Postural Problems: The spine has a unique curvature. The term for this curvature is lordotic curvature. Lordotic curvature guarantees the flexibility of the spine and provides space for the discs when the spine is bent and moved. When this curvature straightens, it exerts pressure on the cartilages. A problem with the endplates affects the blood supply. And the lack of nutrition causes the disc to dry out.

Excessive Weight Loss: When we lose weight, it affects more than just our stomachs and hips. It also affects underlying tissues.

Any type of sudden trauma can contribute to the problem of dehydration. This may also occur as a result of tissue damage.

Desiccated Disc Symptoms

Certain symptoms manifest as a result of the dehydrated discs. These symptoms may be simple, but they may also be critical. Here are a few examples.

Back stiffness is the most prevalent symptom in the early stages of disc degeneration.

Problems with prolonged standing: When a patient maintains a position for an extended period of time, pain and discomfort result.

Lower back ache

Radiation of lower limb discomfort

Numbness

A sense of heaviness in the back.

These symptoms vary depending on the affected disc's location and the severity of the problem.

The perspective of Ayurveda on Desiccated Disc

Ayurveda has its own approach to viewing the world. Because Ayurveda employs a distinct methodology. Doshas are the basis of Ayurveda's methodology. Doshas govern the human organism. And in the case of the dry disc, we must understand the Kapha Dosha.

Kapha is one of the three doshas.

  • Responsible for the body's nutrition.
  • Kapha protects the joints.
  • Kapha dosha binds together the various tissues.
  • Kapha maintains the body's smoothness.
  • It assures the body's flexibility.

In this case, the nucleus pulposus represents Kapha dosha. This Kapha's deterioration is the cause of all maladies, such as disc desiccation.

When Kapha deteriorates, Vata increases. These two doshas are opposite to each other. Therefore, this imbalance is the root of all problems.

Shleshaka Kapha is one additional subtype of the Kapha. This assists in lubricating joints and maintaining their integrity. Therefore, the "Shleshaka Kapha" is central to this condition.

Ayurveda provides more specific information regarding the condition.

Examining the causes of the Kapha dosha's problems leads to the same outcomes. What medical science discusses. There is no difference in the scientific perspectives of the two disciplines. And by balancing the doshas, we can assure the complete reversal of the dehydrated disc's condition.
