Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) is a chronic skin condition characterized by painful nodules, abscesses, and sinus tracts, often leading to fistula formation. A fistula is an abnormal tunnel that connects two body parts, commonly occurring in perianal regions, the groin, or underarms, mirroring the typical sites of HS lesions.
Modern medicine recognizes that both HS and fistulas are rooted in chronic inflammation, immune dysfunction, and tissue destruction.
